Originally from Connecticut, Ryan first picked up bass guitar in 1998 and began jamming Nirvana and Foo Fighters covers with his high school buddies in his first band Ebb. Ryan spent his 20's writing and performing all over New England with garage-pop trio Gone for Good, who recorded several LP's of original music that can be found on bandcamp.com. In 2012, Ryan moved to Kauai and immediately began gigging with Blues-Rock outfit Bluefinger, Black Pearl, and later with the Tom Savell Band. Ryan enjoys performing with like-minded musicians wanting to create soul-centric music to keep people moving! Tune in to KKCR Radio Station's "The Bass-ment" program on Tuesday nights from 10 p.m. til midnight where Ryan goes by "Ryno On the Radio" as their DJ.

RYAN PERKINS

Zak "Uncle Drummer" has been playing drums for 30+ years. Rhythm is his love and timing's kind of his thing. Being in the pocket with mixing R&B, Neo-Soul, Break Beats, Funk, Afro-Rhythm, and Rock is where he thrives. Motivated by a drive to be different and utilize his energy in a positive way, Zak taught himself to play the drums.

"Playing music that makes people move their being is all I want to do. I love music and am so grateful to have the chance to play it for people. I hope this never ends, I couldn't imagine my life without music" - Zaky

CANDICE "CANDI"
DAVIS

Candice Maelani Davis was born on the island of Lanai and raised on Molokai. Her mother was their church pianist, organist, and children's choir conductor, introducing her to live performance in music at the age of 7. Candice joined her first professional vocal group at the age of 15 and at 17 joined a classic rock/soul group and began performing with her first full backing band. After graduating high school, she moved to Kauai where she wrote and recorded a reggae album with friends. This sparked in her an interest to continue writing, and by 2015 an album Candice cowrote was a top 5 Na Hoku Hanohano Award nominee for best R&B album of the year. At one point she lived in Seattle, Washington where one of her fondest memories are being in a 10-piece Motown band and the experience that came with performing on larger stages. Candice is a sort of extroverted introvert, an old soul who believes that music holds power, an art that tells the past and present story of humanity. When she's not pouring her heart and soul out on stage she enjoys being home with her family. Candice has been a part of several bands and music projects throughout the years but has discovered her niche with Joy Eclectic.
